Committee for Statistical Studies

The Committee for Statistical Studies seeks to encourage the cross-disciplinary study of statistics through its application to a diverse set of substantive problem areas in the natural sciences, engineering, the social sciences, and the humanities. The committee coordinates courses in departments and programs that make extensive use of statistical techniques; it also coordinates colloquiums and lectures on topics of statistics. Interested students are invited to consult with the chair of the committee, who will assist them in obtaining information about course offerings, programs of study, and faculty members in various departments who can guide them in research projects.
